The Best Mico-Breweries In The Coachella Valley

Babe’s Bar-B-Que & Brewery – Rancho Mirage

As the desert’s oldest brewery, Babe’s Brewhouse launched in 2002 and you’re sure to love it! The fun décor and bronze pigs are officially Instagram icons and worth a visit. The food is fantastic too, so build lunch or dinner in as part of your visit.

When it comes to beer we recommend you start with one of Babe’s flagships, try  BlackFin Lager or the Honey Blonde. You’ll find great variety among their 10 taps including IPS’s, sours, and seasonal brews.

Coachella Valley Brewing – Thousand Palms

Coachella Valley Brewery

Coachella Valley Brewing is often regarded as the kick-start that the craft beer scene needed. It was the first brewery of dedicated production in the Coachella Valley. Coachella Valley Brewing does draw on local agriculture, how cool is that? They often feature local dates, citrus, and honey in their beers.

You’ll want to fully experience their popular Hazy’s and Sours Local citrus, but they always have a wide variety of brews to choose from. Standout seasonals include local favorites Swar and Phoenix. We recommend the constantly evolving Coachella Hazy, J.T. Rye IPA, or Desert Citrus Wheat.

La Quinta Brewing – Palm Desert, La Quinta, Palm Springs

You’ll find La Quinta Brewing to be one of the most popular breweries in the Coachella Valley. They also have two satellite taprooms in Old Town La Quinta and Downtown Palm Springs. La Quinta Brewing has won roughly 20 medals for their brews.

Their beers pay homage to the Coachella Valley, and we love that! They even have fun names like Poolside Blonde and Even Par IPA. While Even Par is one of our favorites, their standout is the Koffi Porter. You’ll also find these brews in many bars and restaurants across the Coachella Valley due to their popularity.

Desert Beer Company – Palm Desert

This one has an interesting story: Desert Beer Company owner, Devon Sanchez was working at Coachella Valley Brewing before starting up his own beer company. Visiting this taproom is like looking right into the exhibition brewhouse.

Desert Beer Brewery

Some standouts at Desert Beer Company include their PoPo’s Porter, Cascadian Inoculum, Mexican Candy Kettle Sour, and the Pepino Con Chile Cream Ale. The atmosphere and decor of this brewery make for a can’t miss immersive experience.

Las Palmas Brewing – Palm Springs

Las Palmas Brewing is in the heart of Palm Springs. The atmosphere reminds us of cool coffee shop vibes, and they offer guest beers and natural wines. It’s definitely got a cool bar vibe, and it’s conveniently located for a downtown pub crawl.

The spotlight at Las Palmas Brewing falls on their Farmhouse, Saison’s, and British ales. They’ve diversified into Hazy IPAs and lagers. The best word to describe La Palmas is unique. We recommend you try one of the saisons or farmhouse ales on their ever-changing beer menu.

Luchador Brewing Company – Palm Desert

This bustling brewpub is located in Cathedral City’s lively Downtown Arts and Entertainment District. You’re sure to see the eight tanks double-stacked to save space and amp up the drama in the exhibition brewhouse.

We love the atmosphere here with its murals and Mexican music playing inside, and a spacious beer garden with tables, market lights, fire pits, and lawn games outdoors.

Make sure to try the Peleemos American Pale, Sin Nombre Blonde Ale, or the Lucha Lager Mexican Lager. You might as well grab some Mexican street food like tacos, flautas, wings, gorditas, and ceviche while you’re there!

Bubba’s is an American BBQ gastropub in Cathedral City. Locals love the food, brews, and lively atmosphere here. The pub offers a wide range of classics such as bar sandwiches and starters, tacos, and delicious burgers.

This gastropub has a Happy Hour daily from 3-6 pm where you can get Bubba’s own brews for just $5. Make sure to try the IPA, Blonde, or Hefferveisen during happy hour. Their extensive beer selection has something for everyone!

Hangar 24 Craft Brewery – Coachella

With its location adjacent to the Redlands Airport, this brew soars over its Coachella Valley competition. With its fantastic aviation-inspired atmosphere and decor, Hangar 24 has a vibe all its own.

Their year-round brew offerings are a must-try, but we especially love the 24 Blonde Ale! Some other local favorites are the Betty IPA and the Aventura. Check out this craft brewery on a Wednesday night for some trivia fun.

Bootlegger’s Brewery – Costa Mesa

This brewery is all about keeping it in the family—or in this case, in the desert. They are firm believers in the idea that fresh local beers can lead to a stronger community. Bootlegger’s Brewery also creates and releases unique beers each week, meaning their selection is ever-changing.

Local and industry favorites at this brewery include the Chango Mexican Lager, the Far Out IPA, and Palomino. Drink fresh and drink local at Bootlegger’s Brewery!

29 Brews – Coachella

29 Brews Brewery

One of the Coachella Valley’s biggest draws is the number of casinos. That’s exactly where you will find Taproom 29. At Spotlight 29 (the casino) you’ll feel like you’re in Vegas as they’ve put a brewery right inside the casino. 29 Brews is the brewery, serving beers at Taproom 29.

If four house taps and a casino didn’t sell you on visiting this one, it offers one of the best local guest beer lineups in the Coachella Valley. The kitchen is amazing too, grab a pizza while enjoying your beer. Try their Peabody’s Imperial Stout or the Rez Rage Red.

29 Brews| 46-200 Harrison Pl, Coachella, CA 92236| (760) 775-5566
