La Quinta Cove Trail

Distance: 3.6 miles 

Rating: Easy 

Elevation Gain: 390 ft 

Located in the Santa Rosa Wilderness you’ll find the popular La Quinta Cove trail.  This is an easy 3.6 mile out and back trail that is good for all skill levels. Keep in mind that the trail is not clearly marked and it may be a bit difficult to stay on the trail without a GPS.

La Quinta Cove Trail To Lake Cahuilla

Distance: 6.6 miles 

Rating: Easy 

Elevation Gain: 390 ft 

This very popular hiking trail is 6.6 miles long and considered moderately difficult. It takes an average of 3 hours to complete at a moderate pace. This is considered one of the best trails in La Quinta and is a can’t miss! Be aware that a lot of the trail is loose gravel making sturdy hiking boots a must.
