The master bedroom at Palo Verde is easily one of my favorites! Light and bright and modern, but still comfortable and casual. And ooooohh that wood feature wall! ???
This project differed from others in that some of the furniture was negotiated into the purchase of the home – in this room, the bed and desk. We used our favorite sheets and quilts, with throw pillows and blankets from World Market and Anthropology.
A unique feature of this room is that the accent wall serves as a curtain to the walk-in closet. We flanked the sides of the walkway with Flokati accent chairs and colorful artwork.
The desk and task chair were also negotiated in to the purchase of the home, but we added this wood framed mirror from Home Goods, plus a floor lamp and a few desk accessories.
I wanted to keep the niche above the tv simple and clean, and the previous owners left behind a set of clear acrylic photo frames so I decided to do a little photo installation. I grabbed my trusty iphone and drove up the street to the south end of La Quinta cove, snapped a few quick shots and had them printed at Costco. I loved how they turned out – so much so that I had a few printed in poster size to use at Vista Montaña!
The en-suite master bathroom is a dream all on its own, so we just added a few decorative touches like amber glass soap dispensers, faux-plants and a woven floor basket to store extra towels.
